# Map Description

The Lake of Saint Morn is a place of pilgrimage and remembrance, where six small islands rise gently from still, crystal waters traversed via boat ferries. Each island serves as a place of mourning, adorned with hanging lanterns, offerings, flowers, candles, and simple memorials left behind by generations of grieving pilgrims. The peaceful atmosphere is broken only by the gentle sound of flowing water and distant prayer.

At the northern end of the lake rests the largest island, a sacred sanctuary where Saint Morn dwells. A beautiful stone mosaic surrounds a recumbent skeletal effigy, where countless offerings have accumulated over the years. Behind the shrine, a great waterfall cascades between two colossal statues whose sorrowful faces endlessly weep into the waters below, as though mourning alongside every soul who makes the journey.

# Adventure Hooks

* **The Seventh Lantern** Six lanterns are lit at dusk, one upon each island. Yet each morning a seventh flame is found burning upon the central shrine. No priest claims to have lit it, and none dare extinguish it.
* **The Tears of Stone** The great statues have begun weeping not water, but silver tears that harden into crystal upon the lake's edge. Pilgrims believe them miraculous. Scholars fear they are a warning.
* **The Forgotten Name** The skeletal effigy upon the final island bears no inscription. Every record naming the saint has vanished from monastery archives across the realm. Only "Saint Morn" remains, as though the rest of the name has been deliberately erased.
* **The Ferryman's Debt** A hooded ferryman appears upon the lake each new moon, offering passage without asking payment. Those who accept return with peace in their hearts... and one cherished memory forever missing.
