The archmage trusted no one, so he didn't build a vault. He built a question.
This is **The Wizard's Gauntlet**: a ring of rooms around a central acid causeway, a crumbling pit, a whispering magical mist, a spider's nest, and a three-way vault at the end.
The twist is the doors. There are three colors of magical doors, and only one door in each color can be open at a time. One is set by an altar someone has to keep standing on, one by a lever hidden in the mist, and the last by two creatures standing on two runes at once. Every choice seals something else.
The treasure at the end is real, but the vault splits three ways and each section has a cost.
Available with Low and Bright lights, with and without grid, and I also made a DM booklet for it.
Curious how you'd run it: if you were the DM, would you make your party split up to work the doors, or would you keep them together and let them lose time instead?
