# Return from Highgrave is a Dark Souls inspired resurrection arc, designed to be played immediately after a total party wipe; bringing fallen heroes back to life in a way that feels like a natural extension of your campaign.
Your players awaken drowning in a river that runs with blood, claw their way onto the shore, and step into Highgrave: a cursed realm between life and death, where time doesn’t move, gravestones bear names with tallies, and dying again carries a fate worse than oblivion.
Guided to the fortress of Last Light and the blind seer Veleda, the party learns the truth: their defeat wasn’t the end… only the next step in their fates.
To return to the living world, they must cross ruined towers, bloodied arenas, and broken bridges toward the Gravelord’s Bloodwell, where resurrection is earned at a terrible price.
Come back wrong.
Come back marked.
But come back… because the world still needs you, and the alternative is far worse.
