Lost Temple

A lost ancient temple for those who served a dark god of Shadowfell.
The entrance was sealed by a holy order so nobody gets in, or out. The party is on their way to find a relic, a sentient weapon that acts as a vessel for the forsaken god. The cries of battle still echoes in the chambers of the temple. Skeletal remains of the paladins of the holy order can be found laying on the floor, twisted in inhumane positions. The shadows are watching your every step. A small dusted and crumbled note was nailed to the wall near the entrance that reads: "Two shadows, RUN! No shadows, pray for mercy and quick death!"
Those who failed the tests to become a priest of the dark god would fall down to the abyss. The creatures from below used the tunnels for food and shelter. The temple is long forgotten but the creatures use the tunnels.
