Highland Camps — Three Wilderness Campsites for Overland Adventures

Heyya folks — I’ve got a new set of wilderness maps ready for the table.
This trio focuses on **highland campsites** carved into stone, perched on ridges, and tucked into narrow canyons. Each one offers a different kind of tension: exposed rest stops, hidden alcoves, and vantage points that can turn peaceful travel into a sudden ambush. These are flexible drop‑ins for overland journeys, scouting missions, or those quiet moments when the party settles in for the night and hopes nothing moves in the dark.
**Highland Camps — Three Wilderness Camp Maps**
Each campsite brings its own tactical shape and story potential:
**Canyon Hideaway** — A secluded canyon split by a running stream, with natural alcoves converted into makeshift shelters. Height, depth and layered stone make it ideal for infiltration scenes, ambushes, or hidden gatherings.
Size: 24×32
**Hilltop Rest** — A simple hilltop marked by a massive boulder and open ground. Its elevation gives clear visibility and a sense of isolation, perfect for scouts, travelers bedding down, or tense standoffs under an open sky.
Size: 30×30
**Overlook Camp** — A cliffside shelf overlooking a broad valley, bordered by a small stand of trees. It’s a natural lookout, a scenic resting point, or a staging ground for encounters tied to the valley below.
Size: 32×24
Use these maps for travel interludes, wilderness encounters, scouting positions, or as flexible rest‑scene setups — each one is structured for practical, easy‑to‑run play.
If you’d like the high‑resolution files, gridless versions, and the full suite of variants (Canyon Hideaway: Cold, Day, Fog, Night/Dark, Sunset, Flood, Night/Lit • Hilltop Rest: Cold, Day, Fog, Night/Dark, Sunset • Overlook Camp: Cold, Day, Fog, Sunset, Night/Moonrise — all in 8k and VTT‑ready formats), they’re available on my Patreon:
