This is no different for Rathnir, who comes to Oakleaf Manor once or twice every two moons. The mesmerizing building in the middle of the road between two bursting cities is a luxurious inn, and he is the proprietary. Whenever he comes, he sees that the Lords of the Market meeting takes place. Successful and powerful merchants, corrupt officers, and lesser crime magnates compose this organization. The members of this privileged group discuss new ways to increase their wealth, new potential business venues, or how to get rid of an uncomfortable competitor.
