AshleyMayWritesDescription
No one expected to strike concrete so deep beneath the rock and soil. The digging stopped and the researchers were brought in. There was plenty of old pottery dug up in the area, and scraps of what look like rusted automatons, but the real point of interest was the strange altar decorated with a three-petaled flower. They worked for weeks, before finally coming back with a translation:
*This place is a message. Sending this message was important to us. We considered ourselves to be a powerful culture.*
*This is not a place of honor. No highly esteemed deed is commemorated here. What is here was dangerous and repulsive to us.*
*The danger is in a particular location. It increases toward a center. The center of danger is here. The danger is still present, in your time, as it was in ours. The danger is to the body, and it can kill.*
*The danger is unleashed only if you substantially disturb this place physically. This place is best shunned and left uninhabited.*
The words are chilling. But all ancient civilizations put warnings on their tombs full of treasures, didn't they? The foreman says the company gave orders to keep digging...
