Critique my custom map for RPG campaign

Version 2.0 after changes based on feedback in the post above, mainly added trees, enlarged the icons and border lines a bit to make'em more readable, tried to make the regions more distinct by adding different types of trees depending on the altitude.
My biggest issue at the moment is the eastern region, I wonder what to put there, I want the region to be mostly tundra and steps, the horde is obviously a reference to the golden horde and the mongols, so that's why it's there.
