WIP: Elysmere Major - The roughest of drafts, first time Inkarnate user

I'm a long-time lurker and first-time creator. I'm not very artistic, so I wanted to get some feedback on my WIP draft of Elysmere Major, the primary continent of my home-brew campaign.
I don't fully understand the idea of continental plates and making everything look realistic. I've lurked long enough to understand rivers. I don't really know where to go from here. The only area of the map I that I have any idea of how I'd like it to look is the gulf/bay/whatever area in the northwest with the three tiny islands that form a triangle.
I'm running the free version of Inkarnate for now.
