>*The old stone bridge once connected the farmlands to the neighboring settlements, carrying merchants, livestock, and travelers across the river below. Now, part of it lies shattered, its center torn away as though struck by a force far greater than time or weather. The river rushes through the gap, carrying broken stones downstream.*

*Scattered bones rest among the grass nearby, while deep scars mark the earth around the crossing. Whatever passed through here left more than destruction in its wake. The bridge did not simply collapse—it was broken. And judging by the trail leading onward, whatever caused it is still moving.*
