Returning DM Making Maps Again. Can I get your thoughts?

I've finally gotten back into DMing after moving across the country and not getting to play D&D for more than a year!
I've found some wonderful nerdy friends out here who I'm going to introduce the game to and I've been making maps in preparation for the game!
Give a look-see and let me know what you think of these maps and if there's any glaring additions it would be good to make!
I want them to start in a big-ish town but not one of the 4 major capitals in the region, and I wanted to give myself an easier jump back in making a town rather than a massive city so I don't burn myself out on it lol. This lakeside town will be one of the three larger towns outh of the Capital Resureteal, most likely Farom, but I wanted to keep it flexible depending on their characters and where they want to start.
