Here is the latest iteration of Valtheraine, one of the main nations in my homebrew fantasy setting, Lore.
I’ve spent today reworking the rivers, roads and settlement distribution, and adding smaller towns and villages so that the country feels a little more lived-in and considerably less like everyone resides in one of twelve enormous cities.
It is still a work in progress, but I think I’m approaching the point where adding anything else may start doing more harm than good.
I’d particularly appreciate feedback on the label readability, settlement density, rivers and overall geographical logic. Does it feel like a believable country? Are there any areas that look too empty, too crowded or otherwise peculiar?
All thoughts and constructive criticism are welcome.
