How should the lay out be?

Description

I’m working on a fantasy world and am insure of how it would look logically on a island. The picture is an old version but I’m not a huge fan of it.
Part 1: Nordic weather with distinct seasons and Midnightsun.
Part 2: Forests going from spruce & spine to rainforest.
Part 3: Desert beginning with a mountain range.
Part 4: Partially swampy with a large archipelago.

Notes: Capital city in the center of the island.
River a cross the island splitting the island and the capital in two. The river can be dried out in places or smaller in some areas.
